Cookies are a sort of meta game currency that has in-game uses. It’s important to note that cookies are not required to play Altera Awakens but exist as a way of rewarding players who go above and beyond to make the game possible.
In addition, is always possible to Volunteer or donate funds/props to the game to receive Cookies.
Cookies are awarded at a rate of ~1 cookie = 2 dollars for donations or the agreed upon on the amount when a donation of time or prop is given.
In the game world, cookies take the form of a script currency that represents your efforts between the game to aid groups in play. The efforts that are aided with cookies may change from time to time, but you should always aim to spend your cookies into areas that have similar goals as you. Each player may only spend a max of 15 cookies per game in this way to allow for all players to contribute. When spending your cookies, you can always buy things from the list below and sometimes you can even make a unique purchase directly from the representatives (generally handled at check-in).
You may request scripted cookies in paper form at check in to spend or trade with other players or purchase from the following list.

Personal Rewards
Always Available from Merchants and Scholars of Verinfall.
Cost: 2 Cookies each (May not purchase each more than once per game)
- Research Assistant for 1 BGA
- Transcription (Make 2 Copies of 1 Document you have access to)
- Apprentice (3CP of level 1 Production, no item more than 3CP). May be bought once per Production skill, per event.
- Free Appraisal of an items
- Convert Appraised items into Coin at its value

Grab bags can contain almost anything from items, notes or even protectives or buffs All grab bags are tailored towards one of these four categories. Players are limited to 1 Grab Bag per game when they are available.

Support Organizations
As defenders and residents of Verinfall, you now have the opportunity to shape and strengthen the emerging magical schools through donations of resources (Coin, Patterns, Text Docs, and Cookies). Players will be allowed to donate to each school once per event to help them grow and further advance. Please take careful consideration for which schools you support as this will affect the world itself. Players should consider the political ramification of who they support.

Each school will have a limited number of Boons available at each game. These will be based on the resources they have currently achieved. Representatives may approach you over the game to go on missions on behalf of the schools to find rare resources such as spell books, crafting materials, various supplies, or even simple food requisitions.
All of the following are considered roughly equal in support of the schools and will earn you one boon. (Additional Avenues of Donations may be requested by their Headmasters). Each organization may only receive one of the following donations per player, per event.
- 5 Cookies
- Donation of a new unique spell copy (First Time)
- Donation of 5 non-unique spell copies
- Donation of a unique text prop (not in that school’s collection)
- Donation of 4 Silver
- Donation of any Caster Item (Wizard Blocks, Sorcery Scales, Relics)
Player Base Rewards
Spending your cookies does more than simply give YOUR character rewards, it helps fill up the Community Cookie Jar! When you choose who to spend your cookies with your are influencing the world by granting aid to different efforts. Eventually will lead to crossing certain milestones, filling up the Cookie Jar and grant greater rewards to the entire player base! Some examples of this include but are not limited to the following.
- New Text Prop Books in Library
- Traveling Master Bard (Teaches Lores)
- Rare Materials Available for Purchase
- New Holiday To Honor the player’s efforts
- Treasure Maps
- Your efforts have attracted new enemies
- Supply contracts and treaties
- Bonus XP will be added to entire player base
Cookie Jars allow you to track the current donations made to any particular group, as well as see when the next Player Base Reward will be unlocked. These are generally updated shortly after each event.
