Cassandra was/is a member of the group that, under Hector Eventide I, fought and imprisoned Zahhak. Unfortunately, she was divining on the creature when he was finally bound into the fey prison built to prevent him from returning, and was trapped with him in the process. This, along with her time in the prison and divining has made her unfocused and difficult to follow at times. Her speech and thoughts seem to be amalgam of past, present and future.
Although released as a spirit along with Zahhak when his prison failed in June 3018, she appears to be able to send diviners of Verinfall dreams and prophecies to help guide them.
It is believed that during her time under Hector Eventide I, Cassandra worked alongside Maghdella Le Croix as the king’s most trusted diviners. Cassandra is thought to have been the more foolhardy of the pair. She practiced divining with reckless abandon accepting all the consequences she could not prevent that came with it’s extensive use.
With Zahhak’s recent defeat (although not death) against the Verinfall contingent in February of 3019, the bounds of Zahhak’s madness that trapped Cassandra’s spirit within the Dreaming were loosened. A team from Verinfall entered the Dreaming in May of 3019 and was able to completely free her. Her spirit has now passed into the Great Beyond.
