Spell Flux vs Non-Damaging Magic

By the strict wording, it would seem that Spell Flux would even reduce/transform non-damaging magic effects to 1 point of damage:

"Ability that allows the character to reduce the effect from a spell to only 1 point of damage rather than suffer the spell effect."

Is that the intention, or would a full Counter Spell be necessary to prevent the effects of non-damaging magical attacks?

Exactly as Intended.

A Spell Flux reduce the effect of ANY spell to a shard 1 of the same type to the same location.

Example: Light Betrayal would become Light Shard 1, if the effect is voice effected or otherwise delivered without a strike the location is a torso. This works as any other Shard effect and can be taken on armor, shells, vigor .

Love this!
