Build Your Character
Ready to make a character in the world of Altera Awakens? Here, you’ll find a quick summary of the point cost of the powers, abilities and attributes available to build your character. You can find the full details in our Rules section.
Starting character creation points or “XP” (experience points) rise periodically to keep pace with the evolving game play. Currently, new players have 130 XP with which to build new characters.
Secondary or alternate characters are built using the base XP total for new characters, not your current character’s total earned XP.
All players receive item tags for equipment their character has purchased a skill for, (i.e. weapons, armor, starting healers kits, etc ). In addition, new characters receive 1 Gold (100 Copper) to purchase additional starting equipment from the basic Production Tables for Alchemy, Smithing and/or Tinkering at the MU (creation cost) in Copper.
Building a character in Altera is a “no regrets” process. If, after playing your character the first time, you decide it isn’t quite what you wanted, you can rebuild your character once, before your third game event.
